Investment Manager

Saffelberg Investments is an independent financial and industrial holding company with a capital base of 350 million euro. To strengthen our investment team we are looking for an Investment Manager.

 

Job description

 

Portfolio Management

  • Act as a trusted business partner to the management team of our portfolio companies;

  • Be responsible for the quarterly (financial and strategic roadmap) reporting of our portfolio companies to the Board of Saffelberg Investments;

  • Assist the portfolio management team with the assessment of Buy-and-Build opportunities;

 

Deal Sourcing & evaluation of opportunities

  • Maintain and further develop your network of M&A intermediaries (banks, advisors, lawyers, …) and Indurstry experts;

  • Identify and analyze new investment opportunities;

 

Deal Execution

  • Manage the various workstreams in a Deal Execution process (from term sheet negotiation to closing), and show hands-on involvement in financial due diligence;

  • Advise on deal set-up and structuring;

  • Negotiate with lenders;

 

Profile

 

  • Master degree in business and/or finance;

  • At least 3 years of relevant financial experience;

  • Significant experience in financial analysis, financial due diligence, valuation and deal structuring of a broad set of transactions (LBO, growth deals, minority deals);

  • Ability to detect financial risks and opportunities;

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;

  • Ability to credibly interact with senior management stakeholders; Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills;

  • Result driven, detail oriented and stress resistant;

  • Flexible and able to travel and operate in an international environment;

  • Fluent in Dutch, English and French;
